VCDT Supports BC Children’s Hospital

VCDT is pleased to announce that it will be supporting the BC Children's Hospital by creating and staging a special performance, with Stage One Academy of Richmond, at the upcoming "For Children We Care Dinner". Held on February 5th, 2011 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, this year’s funds will go to Operation Superhero – a three year, $5 million fundraising initiative of BC’s Chinese-Canadian community to support the construction of the Oncology Inpatient Unit in the new Children’s Hospital.

The For Children We Care Dinner is an annual gala event organized by BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and caring members of the Asian-Canadian Community to support BC Children’s Hospital. Over 1,000 distinguished guests get together every year at this black tie optional event for a night of fine dining, live entertainment, and a silent auction.

Over the For Children We Care Dinner’s history, the event has raised close to $7.5 million to purchase medical equipment, and fund research and educational programs at BC Children’s Hospital.
